Desert business machines is a locally owned and operated 30+ year company that sells and services a full line of Savin, Kyocera/Mita and other award winning lines of networked office equipment. We are the largest sales and service office equipment company in the Coachella Valley.
DBM is located in Palm Desert, one of the fastest growing areas in California and the United States. We are growing and adding to our staff.
Responsibilities of Sales Representative
DBM is looking for an experienced sales professional from the office equipment industry or other industry where the candidate thinks their experience prepares them to be a fast learner in selling networked office equipment. This sales professional will be motivated by the tight coupling of their sales performance and financial compensation. Responsibilities of the position include:
- Sell products and solutions by scheduled appointment. Demonstrating equipment to potential customers.
- Making sales calls, product presentations and solution proposals resulting in winning business in a fast moving, rapidly growing and competitive environment.
- Servicing existing customers, prospecting for new ones
- Be a part of helping to improve overall customer satisfaction, employee productivity and a sense of teamwork throughout DBM
The successful candidate will have:
- Four or more years of direct sales experience in commissioned sales of office equipment or a field that has prepared them for success and a quick start in selling our type of equipment
- Track record of being a fast learner, team player
- Strong communication, presentation skills.
- PC skills
- College degree or continued educational experience a plus.
- Knowledge of how to set up and add peripherals to existing office computer networks a plus
- While most business is conducted in English, second language skills are a plus
Compensation is a combination of base salary and commission plan. Total compensation is tied directly to sales performance without an upside cap. DBM offers medical and dental plans.
